We are very pleased to announce that Sadie & Loki had a beautiful litter of 5 puppies born on February 27, 2018. There are 2 males (tri color) & 3 females (2 tri color, 1 red & white). The theme for this litter is Fine Wine.
Week 1 for Sadie & Loki's litter brought them to the vet for tail docking & dew claw removal. Their weight variance was 7.5-11 oz. & they're growing bigger every day!
Week 2 for Sadie & Loki's puppies has been a growth week...the puppies have been eating and eating and eating!! They have gained weight and are beginning to move around, though just crawling...no walking yet.
Week 3 has Sadie & Loki's puppies with their eyes & ears open!! The also went to the vet for their first de-worming. They're all pretty uniform in size, with their weights ranging from 1.6-1.9 lbs. They have also begun to push themselves up with their front paws, so cute!
Week 4: Sadie & Loki's puppies have been growing like little weeds this week. Eating & sleeping, and sleeping & eating! They have also begun to wrestle among themselves...and bark! Lastly, they have cut their first teeth. It's so exciting to watch them change almost daily.
Week 5: Sadie & Loki’s puppies have begun the weaning process this week and have started eating softened puppy food. It didn’t take them long to learn! They have also been honing their wrestling skills and have expanded their chew toy repertoire.
Week 6 for Sadie & Loki’s puppies has been loads of fun as the puppies are really coming into their own personalities. Each one has offered both comic relief as well as cuddles & snuggles during quiet time. They visited the vet again earlier in the week and got their 2nd de-wormer. They weigh between 2.8 - 3.8 lbs. The pups have also transitioned to all dry kibble.
Week 7 has been exciting to watch Sadie & Loki's puppies wrestle and play! They are growing by leaps and bounds and are really catching on to potty training. This weeks theme is bath time fun...each one enjoyed the water.
It’s time for our last PUPDATE for this litter....it’s bittersweet. We are thrilled each puppy has a wonderful, loving family to go home to, but we will miss them so much!! Each one is special, yet different in personality. My favorite thing is to wake up in the morning to their sweet upturned faces, telling me “Hi Corgi mom!” This week’s theme is outdoor play. Whether it’s running in the grass, chasing after tennis balls, or picking up treasures and running with them in their mouths (usually small sticks or big pine cones ) the puppies love to play outside! They also enjoy playing with their chew toys, wrestling with each other or just chilling in the outdoor playpen.
